  “Come here.”

Pit was tired of fighting. All he wanted to do was hold his woman. He was still frustrated by the fact that she would not believe that he could and would take care of her. But he had a plan. He was determined to show and prove to her that he could be all that she needed. Kale walked into the arms of her man. She was exhausted and tired of arguing and fighting as well. She was ready to just be in his arms.

“Kale, you are a strong woman. That is one thing that I love about you. You are also very smart, so you already know that sometimes you have to step down from being so strong and allow your man, who is also very strong, stronger actually, to take care of you. You are in the best hands when you are with me and you need to just sit back and enjoy this life we’ve made together sometimes.”

He pulled her closer to him and whispered his words into her ear, ending it with a kiss on her neck behind her ear. He was not fighting fair. She knew it and so did he. He knew exactly where to kiss, grab, rub, lick, and hold to make her become putty in his hands. And just like that, all of her fear and frustration melted away. Kale loved her man so much. She did not know if it was because she was lost in this moment or if it was just the right thing to do, but she did trust Pit. She loved how he could be so strong, yet so gentle all at the same time. Pit slowly and gently kissed his way down to Kale’s breast and she started to hum and purr. Without full removal of her top, he pulled it down far enough to take her left nipple into his mouth as he cupped her behind with one hand and her right breast with the other. Then he ran his hand from her butt up to her back, undid her bra strap, and slid off her bra and top all at the same time. Pit scooped and lifted Kale up into his arms. He carried her over to their bed and gently laid her down on it. He slid off her pajama bottoms and panties, then after brought his face up to hers.

“You have to stop worrying and stressing over things that I can easily take care of for you. You know that with me, money is not a problem. I can take care of you in every way that you need to be taken care of. So, sit back, or lay back, and let your man take care of you. For the life of me, I cannot understand why you would think that I would cheat on you or leave you for someone else, but that is the furthest thing from my mind. I love you, girl. And I ain’t going nowhere. You stuck wit’ a nigga for life. I know I may have messed up in the past, but I ain’t no fool. I know when I have something good. And can’t no bitch make me lose or leave you. Ever. You understand me?”

Kale simply nodded her head. Her voice and words had packed up and went on vacation and left her to lose this battle on her own. However, her tears had stayed for the ride and she also lost the battle with them as they slid down her face. All she wanted was to be loved by this man. He was her everything. She had wanted to tear down her walls and allow him to take care of her and be with him freely, but up until now she had always been afraid. She made a silent declaration to herself that she would no longer be afraid and allow herself to be loved and taken care of in the way that she deserved. Pit covered Kale’s body with his own and her mouth with his as they indulged in a long, slow, and passionate kiss.

When he finally came up for air, he proclaimed, “Just let me take care of you. I promise you won’t regret it.”

Then he trailed her body with kisses as he made his way down to her treasure box. Pit was not one to make promises, especially not ones that he could not keep. But he meant every word that he had spoken to Kale. Kale was different. She was someone special. She was his someone special and he was prepared to do everything in his power to make her his forever. No other woman had ever had a hold on him the way that Kale had and all he wanted to do was make her happy. His first mission was to take her away from the dirty lifestyle that she was living and at the same time stray away from the ruthless lifestyle that he was living. He spread her legs and parted her lips with his tongue, allowing his tongue to help further persuade his woman of his intentions.

Bliss is where Kale’s body was being sent. She had always enjoyed receiving pleasure from Pit, because he was so good at what he did. He had the power to send her to a million nations and back just from using his tongue. It was always better after a rough argument, because he ate her with far more passion and love. Almost as if he had something to prove. She watched him as his head bobbed up and down and shook from side to side with a faster tempo. He started to devour her clit as he licked and sucked on it and she moaned with pleasure. Kale pulled Pit’s face deeper into her as she was getting closer to reaching her peak. He fucked her hole with his tongue and when he felt her body start to tremble, he buried his tongue and face deep inside her until she exploded in his mouth. He lapped up all of her juices, and then brought his face back up to hers. He whispered to her his love for her as he slid deep inside her, showing her just how true his words were. Kale was lost in his love. She hoped and prayed that she could remain there forever. There was no way she was going in to work that night, or ever again for that matter.

  Chapter 2

Sanayah rushed into the meeting room with coffee for all of the attorneys at Simpson and Smith Law Firm. She was not having the best of mornings. It seemed as if everything was working against her favor and it was not even eight am yet. This was rather unusual for Sanayah, who has her whole life planned to a T on her blackberry and normally everything falls into place just as it should. But this morning was different. And if the feeling in her gut was giving her a correct prediction, things were going to get a lot worse before getting better. After fighting to keep her composure with the new hire at Starbucks who could not seem to get her order correct, she bumped into some human, she was not even sure if it was a man or a woman , causing her to make yet another order and change her blouse all before the meeting started. Even though the attorneys had a break room with enough coffee to caffeinate a thousand workers, they chose to send her down the road to Starbucks every morning for coffee. She knew that they only did this to torment her. She was so determined to be hired on after her internship was over that she did not care how much they tormented her. She was going to pull through.

As soon as she entered the building, she tucked the drinks away in a storage closet and sped toward the elevators heading to the parking garage. She flew to her car and fetched her other blouse to replace her coffee-stained one, and hurriedly got into the front seat of her car to do a quick switch. While running back to the elevators she heard Samuel’s voice behind her.

“Leaving so soon? I was hoping to catch the rest of the show!”

Refusing to slow down until she reached the elevators and was inside, she, through deep and gasping breaths, explained to Samuel how her morning was going. He, of course, laughed at her and told her to take it easy and not let it stress her out. She was thinking, of course it is much easier said than done.

“What makes matters even worse,” she continued through fought tears, “I woke up late this morning. Slept straight through my alarm clock. I did not even hear it, I was sleeping so hard. I have never overslept, ever.”

Samuel wanted to console his friend and let her know that it was okay and that everything would be okay. Everyone had days every now and then where everything did not go their way. He remembered who he was about to try and explain that to and stopped short. He knew that Sanayah followed the same routine almost every day and did not like for things to go wrong. On the other hand, she was normally great at dealing with problems and solving them even while under pressure, yet this morning she was off for some reason. They were both glad when they heard the bell to the elevator dinging, announcing that they had reached their destination. Sanayah flew to the storage closet to retrieve the drinks and was both glad and relieved that they were still there and still warm. Samuel helped her carry the drinks into the meeting room as they made it in just in time for her to grab a pen and pad to take notes before Samuel Smith Sr., Samuel’s father, started to speak.

The rest of the day went on very much the same, a few mistakes and mishaps that were unexplainable, and Sanayah felt
nauseous and dizzy all day. Samuel closed a deal with a big time client and invited her out to celebrate, but she declined and instead turned in early. Unsure of what exactly had come over her, she decided that it would be best if she went straight home, showered, ate, and climbed in her bed and rested. After a day like today, she was worn down and exhausted and all she wanted to do was sleep. She had hoped and prayed that she had not caught a bug since she had felt under the weather all day. She refused to call in sick and seem weak to any of her peers. Whatever it was that was attacking her, she figured if she allowed herself to go into hibernation until the morning it would pass.

Sanayah had not realized that she had dozed off until she awoke to Samuel’s face hovering above hers and his fingers rubbing her temples. She did not remember falling asleep, but she knew she was not in her bed when she did and she realized that Samuel must have carried her and placed her in her bed. He was also lying in the bed beside her with the top half of his body covering hers.

  “What are you doing here?”

“What do you mean, what am I doing here? I came here to check on you. I finally close the case that I have been working on for the last five months and I do not even have you there to celebrate with me. This ‘I’m okay, I just need a bit of rest’ act, I was definitely not buying. That is, until I get here and I see that you are not feeling too well. I come to check on my favorite girl and I find her asleep at the dinner table. I take it that you were trying to fix you a bowl of soup, but the pot you left on the stove and the bowl was empty and untouched.”

“Oh God, did I forget the eye on?”

“No, no. Fortunately, you had already turned the eye off.”

“Oh, thank God. I do not know what has come over me. I felt horrible all day and now I still feel drained. I am not even sure how long I’ve been asleep.”

“You know, I wish you could have come and celebrated with me. You know it was not the same without you.”

“I know. I feel terrible about that. Please forgive me.”

“Of course I forgive you. Besides, I am here to celebrate now.”

  “Now?”

  “Yes, right now.”

Samuel took off Sanayah’s pajama top to reveal her breast and he saw the scars that were madefrom the spilling of the coffee earlier. He almost freaked until he remembered that she was changing her blouse earlier today in the car because of the mishap. He started to softly rub his fingers over the raised skin followed by gentle kisses. Her olive toned skin was now red and blistered. He stood up and undressed and then finished undressing her. Sanayah lay open and inviting. Samuel climbed back into the bed on top of her, and she gladly welcomed him in.

Sanayah has had such a rough day and was filled with so many mixed emotions and feelings that she needed a release. Luckily, Samuel was more than capable of providing her with the exact release that she needed. He pushed her legs together and all the way back to where her feet were touching her headboard. Without any warning, he inserted her. Sanayah moaned in ecstasy. Samuel took slow strokes at first and quickly sped up. He parted her legs and stretched them out as far as possible in this position. He started pounding into Sanayah until she could not take it any longer and started to convulse into orgasm. Before she was able to catch her breath, Samuel had already flipped her over and inserted her from the back. Slowly, at first, then with each stroke he would go faster and deeper. He wrapped her long hair around his hands and pulled hard as he took her from the back. This time they both reached their peak one right after the other. They both collapsed from exhaustion and crawled into each other’s arms where they fell asleep until morning.

Sanayah and Samuel met her freshmen year of college. Samuel was in his junior year. They instantly became like best friends, and after two years of close friendship, lovers. They both attended Baylor Law School and Samuel was ecstatic when Sanayah was chosen to be an intern at his father’s law firm. Since Baylor was in Waco, Texas and a good four and a half hours away from Sanayah’s hometown of Beaumont, Texas, she was happy to have someone to help Waco and Baylor feel like a home away from home. Samuel was that special someone for her. They kept the sexual part of their relationship a secret for a few different reasons. One was a professional reason. One of Sanayah’s biggest wishes was to be able to practice law at the firm and she did not want anyone to believe that she only received a position there because she was sleeping with the boss’s son. Also, even though Sanayah’s father was a German man and just as white as Samuel and his father, her mother was black, and both Sanayah and Samuel knew that their relationship would be frowned upon by 90 percent of the firm’s attorneys, especially Mr. Samuel Smith Sr. Samuel always aimed to please his father and mostly agreed with his way of doing things and his beliefs, but after meeting and falling in love with Sanayah, this was one thing he had to disagree with. When Samuel first laid eyes on Sanayah, he thought that she was the most beautiful woman he had ever seen. Not the most beautiful black woman, or the most beautiful white woman, but the most beautiful woman ever. Soon after, he found out that there were two when he was introduced to her beautiful twin sister, Kale. Besides their looks being exactly the same, Sanayah and Kale were like Yin and Yang, they were so different, but also so very similar in a lot of different ways. He realized that they were both very beautiful inside and out and he loved the unconditional love and bond that the two of them shared.

  Chapter 3

Pit decided to go into work early that morning. He had a lot of business to take care of, and he wanted to get things situated at the office before he took care of his other business. He had a plan, and he was ready to put his plan into action. All he could think about was Kale and his family and he wanted to change his ways and give up his fast living for good so that he could be the man that they all wanted him to be. He took pride in being able to take care of his family, and if he allowed his dirty living and greed to take him away from his family, he would never forgive himself. When Pit was released from prison two years ago, he decided to slow down on as much dealings as possible. He was always great with his hands and when he got out he decided to link up with his two uncles and put in work with them whenever they needed him. Uncle Willie and Uncle Ed were his mother’s older brothers. He loved both his uncles and they had always looked out for him. They fed him wisdom every chance they got, and he refused it every chance he got. Until he was wise enough to listen, he did not want to hear what they had to say.

Uncle Ed was a mechanic and a repair man and he owned a small mechanic shop. He made a pretty decent amount of money, but he also dabbled in a bit of illegal rendezvous too to gain a little more money to provide for his family. He was not one to be fucked with. The streets feared him. Pit respected him. Pit had mad love for his uncle and was glad when his Uncle Ed took him under his wing and showed him how to work both sides of his business to his advantage. He worked at Uncle Ed’s mechanic shop by night and at his Uncle Willie’s contracting company during the day. His Uncle Willie had built an eight man team that he had rocking with him, and together they built some of the best homes in Beaumont.

He was sitting at his desk in his office looking over the blueprint of the home that he was preparing to build for Kale and himself. In walked both Uncle Willie and Uncle Ed with very serious looks on their faces. He was startled by their actions. Usually, whenever he had his office door closed, everyone knew to knock.

“ ‘Sup, Uncs? What’s going on? Is something wrong?”

Pit put down the blueprint that he was holding and gave all of his attention to his uncles.

Both Willie and Ed sat down in the two chairs facing Pit’s desk. They looked at Pit and then at each other.

Finally, Willie spoke up, “There’s been talk that someone has been trying to start trouble in our business.”

“Trouble? What kind of trouble? And who’s talking?” Pit asked, wanting to feel unbothered by this news, but thought to himself that trouble was definitely the last thing he needed at this very moment.

/>   “One of the lil’ youngins down at the house on Emmons said that there was a guy come looking for you. He said that he had never seen the guy before, but he had claimed that he grew up with you. When I told him to describe the guy, it sounded a lot like lil’ Percy.”

Now that was a name that Pit had not heard or spoken in years. Percy “Nocturnal” Williams was his boy. They used to hustle and grind together until he ended up getting himself locked up. Noc was a pretty loyal and level-headed guy. He never ratted on anyone when he got locked up and he showed Pit mad love whenever they would talk. Pit would visit him from time to time when Pit himself became a free man and kept money on his books. But when Noc was released, he moved with a family member somewhere up north and Pit hadn’t heard from him since. He didn’t understand how or why Noc could be starting any trouble at the trap houses though.

“I don’t understand what motive Noc would have to start trouble with us, but I am sure going to make it my business to find out.”

Willie and Ed looked at one another and Ed added, “That’s not all. That’s actually the least of our worries right now.”

  “So what is the problem?”

“The city has red tagged all seven of our houses that we still have work coming in from. They say that if they are not brought up to code, then they will be scheduled for demolition. And, there has been tampering down at Pet Cemetery.”

This sudden news caught Pit off guard more than anything.

“Pet Cemetery? Tampering down there? What for?”

“There wasn’t enough talk about why; just enough to know that’s it’s been done,” Uncle Willie informed.

“There really isn’t any incriminating evidence there for anyone to be charged with anything. We were always sure to be careful. However, we need to meet there STAT to retrieve all of the money buried and do away with the place for good. Unless we have to knock off whoever is responsible for all this talk and movement, there’s no need for the place anyhow,” Uncle Ed declared.
